A client-focused approach is fundamental to the way I work: from understanding your vision and how you want to use your garden, right through to equipping you with the understanding and confidence to care for, maintain and develop your new garden.
After meeting with you to take a look at your garden, discuss your preferences and survey the space – the style you are aiming for, the plants you particularly like, the way you intend to use your garden – I will draw up a choice of designs that will deliver your requirements as successfully and cost effectively as possible.
Plants have the power to transform any outside space and, in discussion with you, I will produce a planting plan unique to your garden.
Once a budget and timescale have been agreed, I’ll make sure you’re happy with the proposed look and feel of your new garden before making the agreed design a reality. When you are ready to bring your plans to life, I will consult and share the full set of drawings with my recommended landscape contractors. They will then prepare their quotation for your consideration. If you already have a contractor in mind, I can work with them to create your beautiful garden. Once the work starts, I understand that some people will want to be relatively hands-on, while others would prefer to leave the project management to me. I will be happy to accommodate whatever suits you best.
Of course, however much (or little) you want to be involved on a day-to-day basis, I will make sure that you are fully briefed throughout the process – from initial planning, through hard and soft landscaping to sourcing the plants from a number of local nurseries I have a relationship with and planting them. And when your garden has been created, I can also help you to keep it looking great by offering the following options:
A bespoke gardening ‘toolkit’– A simple informative guide to your plants and how to keep them in the best shape through the seasons
A four-hour visit from me once a season – To ensure the planting continues to thrive, undertake any major gardening tasks in terms of the plants, and discuss with you any future planting ideas
