My client is a keen gardener but had nowhere to grow seeds or provide shelter for her more tender plants. Her side garden was overgrown but received quite a lot of sun. Her kitchen window looked out onto this area and she wanted to have a nice view out with plants at eye level as well as somewhere she could potter in her garden.
After:
The existing shrubs and grass were removed and the grass replaced with golden gravel for easy maintenance.
A space was created for her new potting shed and a raised bank was made which was retained with sleepers. This was then planted with lots of trailing plants and perennials plus climbers to hide the fencing.
It has created a little haven for her and her plants.
